Hello everyone,
Happy February! I cannot believe we are already a month into 2021.
SO SO SO sorry I was kind of in a rut on Monday and needed some rest. I should’ve let you all know but alas here I am apologizing.
As promised (no pun intended), I will continue my new series, Poems, Prayers, and Promises.
Again, this series is based on the song by John Denver with the same name.
Here is a refresher of what the 3 sections will be…
The first Monday of each month I will share with you…
- Poems: Poetry that I have recently enjoyed or written
- Prayers/Dreams/Memories/Things that we believe in: This category will need some future tweaking. But I will be sharing a mix of present prayers, thoughts on dreams or memories, and words on things I believe in.
- Promises: This will be the fun one. I will make a promise to watch a movie, read a book, try out a recipe, research a topic etc. and come back and review it next month.
Here we go!
Poems
I have one here by the great Emily Dickinson.
Tell all the Truth but tell it slant –
Success in Circuit lies
Too bright for our infirm Delight
The Truth’s superb surprise
As Lightning to the Children eased
With explanation kind
The Truth must dazzle gradually
Or every man be blind

Prayers
I have been wrestling over decisions that could make a relationship harder but also stronger. I am constantly thinking about honesty recently and why it is so crucial. How do I honor those closest to me if I never share all of me? I have been praying about the right time for this and for peace about it.
Hey, if there are anyways I can pray for you please send a message on my contact page! It goes directly to me and no one else will see it.
Promises
I did not watch Two Popes so March will be a double review! Man, guys I am sorry for not being on top of my blog lately. 😦
My item for review this month was suggested by a lovely friend.
I will review Taylor Swift’s Folklore.
I have only listened to a handful of Taylor Swift songs in the past and I have tried to listen to this album completely like 5 times. This is almost more of a form of accountability for me than a review. 🙂
~ Kenedy M.
I loved this poem by Emily Dickinson! Truth and honesty must always dazzle…especially the ‘soul’ of ALL mankind…for we are made in the image of God..this is where truth defines itself.
I feel a little poetic myself today. See how your poem posts inspire me Kenedy!! lol
Also, you never have to apologize about not posting…you are balancing your life.
